The first half of Hellas-Udinese ended in a 1-1 draw, with both goals scored within three minutes. In the 23rd minute, the visitors took the lead when Slotsager deflected a shot by Atta into the net – a shot that Perilli, confirmed in place of Montipò, should have saved. The problem was that, as on other occasions, the Verona defense failed to prevent the shot. However, just three minutes later, Saar launched a counterattack and Hellas equalized through the ever-reliable Orban, who managed to score despite being surrounded by two opponents.

The equalizer had a positive effect on the team, which seemed to regain confidence. This was especially true for Saar, who ran and worked harder than ever. Still, little changed. The usual flaws remained, especially in defense and on the counterattack, which were often thwarted by misplaced passes. Gagliardini performed well in midfield.

Serdar is struggling due to his precarious physical condition. Bernede is very active, but his efforts are often undone by mistakes. However, all this, combined with the absences, is not enough.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Udinese, having taken control of the game, took the lead and, after another fifteen minutes, made it 3-1, sealing a disastrous match.

Hellas left the field to boos.

Zanetti’s substitutions were ineffective with the result already compromised and the team’s morale at rock bottom. It is yet another defeat. The only slight consolation is that there are still many games left to play. But unless there is a radical change at the club level, with a financial commitment in this final week of the transfer market, Serie B is inevitable.

It is now clear where the problem lies. Presidio Investors, by selling off its most valuable assets, has earned tens of millions since taking over the club. At the same time, Hellas has not earned millions, but has conceded dozens of goals.

The team left the pitch to the boos of fans who have never stopped supporting them. A very bad omen. A very clear sign.
