For International Women’s Day in Verona and the province there are numerous initiatives scheduled. In Verona city, on March 8 in Gran Guardia, Assessorato alle Pari Opportunità – the Department of Gender Equality – and Quid social enterprise will promote from 8:30 a.m. a creative workshop, dedicated to female talent, through activities related to the world of beauty and fashion. Also on March 8, a meeting with Lidia Ravera, on the occasion of the release of her new book “Age Pride. Per liberarci dai pregiudizi sull’età” – “Age Pride. To free ourselves from age prejudices”. On March 9, at 9 p.m. at Camploy Theater, “Dentro. Una storia vera, se volete” – “Inside. A true story, if you will”, a play that addresses the issue of the concealment of violence. On March 18, however, at 10 a.m. in the Gran Guardia Convention Hall will be the turn of the conference, “The Rebirth of Democracy: Women in Government”. On March 22 at 5 p.m., it is back to the Civic Library, Sala Farinati, on Via Cappello for the presentation of the book “Culture della maternità e narrazioni generative” – “Cultures of Motherhood and Generative Narratives.” On the evening of the same day, from 9 p.m. at the Camploy Theater, the show “Vite: suoni e voci dal mondo” – “Lives: sounds and voices from the world” will be held. Another event on the city’s calendar, on March 31 at 6 p.m. at the Fucina Culturale Macchiavelli, the conference on women’s revolutions in Iran and Afghanistan and their social and cultural impact. Saturday, March 18, from 10:30 a.m. in the Loggia di Fra’ Giocondo at Palazzo Scaligero, the conference “Dalla parità salariale al bilancio di genere. La lunga corsa a ostacoli delle donne” – “From Equal Pay to Gender Balance. The long obstacle race of women”.

In Bardolino, on March 8 at the Corallo Theater at 8:45 p.m. there will be a show, with free admission, “Quello che le donne dicono” – “What Women Say,” music and poetry with Diletta Marzano. Until March 12 in Bosco Chiesanuova – every day except Tuesday and Sunday, in the municipal library – there will be a photo exhibition “Women from Lessinia to the World”. In Bussolengo on March 10 at 8:45 p.m. in Villa Spinola there will be an event “Le donne raccontate da Dante Alighieri” – “Women told by Dante Alighieri”. In Castelnuovo del Garda on March 12 at 6 p.m. at the Dim Theater the concert with the Women’s Wind Orchestra City of Verona. In March in San Giovanni Lupatoto, “Emozioni in rosa” – “Emotions in Pink” kicks off. The event, scheduled until May, will offer 26 events ranging from culture to psychology, from medicine to sports, all declined to women. In the Sala delle Feste at the Palazzo del Capitano in Soave, on March 10 at 5:30 p.m., the meeting “Woman, genius and resource” will be held, with speeches and testimonies by doctors and sports protagonists.
