Verona will be the international capital of BMX this weekend. The Olympic BMX Arena (really closed to the Bentegodi, Stadium of the city) will host the first two rounds of the 2023 BMX European Cup. The event is organised by Team BMX Verona, with the patronage of the City Council and the Veneto Region. It is also supported by Agsm Aim, Amia and Acque Veronesi.

This edition is sold out and is expected to attract 1440 athletes coming from all over the world, including Colombia, Australia, Japan, Venezuela and the United States. The competition will award points towards the Olympic qualification for Paris 2024: this makes the event even more important for the participants.

The Verona BMX track, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has become a benchmark for international BMX athletes. The record number of participants, which has almost tripled in recent years, is a sign of the event’s growth in popularity and success. All of this has been made possible thanks to the great teamwork and investment of the region.

Furthermore, the BMX Absolute European Championship will be held at the Verona BMX track next year. This event was already held in Verona in 2016. 1900 athletes from all over the world competed on the track.
