The Veneto International Music Festival is coming to Verona. In San Giovanni Lupatoto, classical pieces and pieces from the most famous film soundtracks will be played by the Quartetto Veneto on the evening of June 16. A free event to attract a diverse audience

San Giovanni Lupatoto, a municipality in the south-east of Verona, will host next weekend the only stop in Verona of the Veneto International Music Festival. From 21:00 at the former church of Pozzo (Via D. Chiesa) will be held the concert of the Quartetto Veneto, a string quartet composed of Marco Toso, Alessandra Vianello, Marta Traversi and Alvise Stiffoni who will perform a varied repertoire of classical music and film pieces.

It is a group of artists who, in addition to numerous appearances in events promoted by institutions, also participated last year in the concert for the anniversary of the death of Pope Luciani. The focus of recent years on film soundtracks has allowed them to distinguish themselves on the music scene, not only Italian but also abroad.

The Verona stage of the Veneto International Music Festival is also part of the Sangiò ArtFestival, a series of events in San Giovanni Lupatoto, between music, theater and outdoor cinema, which began in May and will last until early July. It is a summer festival that aims to enhance the territory and its cultural associations.

This weekend, there will be the third of the seventeen events that compose the first festival’s edition, designed by Alberto De Piero with the patronage of the Regional Council. The opening night was held last June 6 in Recoaro with the King’s College Symphony Orchestra of London and will end in Jesolo on December 16.
