From the kitchen to the square. The iconic Italian culinary symbol is set to take over Vicenza’s Piazza dei Signori for a weekend as master pizzaioli cook their specialties. From June 14 to 16, Pizza in Piazza brings nine booths which will serve unique pizzas prepared by some of Veneto’s top pizzaioli, including sweet pizza alternatives. There will also be two beer-themed gazebos, samples of the first Italian cola, MoleCola, a wine section, and lots of entertainment.
Workshop “Pizza Without Borders: An Increasingly Global Dining Experience”
On Sunday, June 16, at 4:00 p.m. at Piazza dei Signori, three well known master pizzaioli and a Michelin-starred chef will lead a discussion about pizza’s expanding potential, especially in the world of luxury dining. The speakers will be Enzo Coccia of La Notizia (Napoli), Luca Pezzetta of Clementina (Roma), Renato Bosco of Renato Bosco Pizzeria (San Martino Buon Albergo, Verona), and Michelin-starred chef Matteo Grandi of “Matteo Grandi in Basilica” (Vicenza). Francesca Riganati, a strategy and communication consultant in the food business who previously served as head of training at all Gambero Rosso schools, will conduct the discussion.
