This summer, Verona’s Teatro Ristori becomes the stage for an extraordinary fusion of visual art, music, and theater in “Un bacio senza tempo – A Timeless Kiss. Klimt and Shakespeare in an Immersive Journey”. For the first time in Italy, an immersive multimedia production is brought to life inside a traditional theater space, offering audiences a 360-degree sensory experience unlike any other.
Bridging the worlds of Gustav Klimt’s golden-hued masterpieces and William Shakespeare’s eternal tragedy Romeo and Juliet, this multisensory show transforms the theater into a living canvas. Visitors will find themselves enveloped in a narrative where Klimt’s iconic painting The Kiss meets the poetic romance of Verona’s most famous lovers.
The vision behind this innovative project comes from immersive art pioneer Massimiliano Siccardi, internationally acclaimed for creating Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit, and composer Luca Longobardi, known for his emotionally resonant soundscapes. Together, they have crafted an experience where moving images, original music, and spoken word dissolve the boundary between audience and artwork.
Inside Teatro Ristori, the traditional distinction between stage and seating disappears. The entire theater becomes a scenographic space, complete with a video-mapped recreation of Juliet’s balcony and dynamic projections surrounding the audience. The production will run daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, with hourly 45-minute performances.
This event is more than a spectacle—it’s a cultural initiative with deep local roots. Backed by the Ministry of Culture and organized by CREA Impresa Sociale of Fondazione Cariverona, A Timeless Kiss aims to redefine how art is experienced in Verona, engaging both residents and tourists in a new model of cultural participation.
Tickets are available now in early booking through June 6. Prices start at €8 for youth, with special discounts for families, students, and free entry for select groups.
