Capital for business in the national wine-growing and wine-producing chain, but also an opportunity for dialogue between institutions, companies and associations. Vinitaly (HERE the site in English) is back in Verona from 14 to 17 April, with more than four thousand exhibiting companies in 17 pavilions – a net 100 thousand square metres of stands to visit. Over the four days of the 56th International Wine and Spirits Exhibition, wineries from 30 countries will meet more than 30 thousand demand operators from 160 nations. In addition to these, b2b appointments are already scheduled with 1.200 top foreign buyers selected and hosted thanks to joint Veronafiere-Ice Agency incoming activities.

All the main themed areas of the event are confirmed: Vinitaly Bio; International Wine Hall; Vinitaly Mixology and Micro Mega Wines, with focus on niche and limited edition production. Concurrently with Vinitaly, there is also the 28th edition of Sol, International olive oil trade show, the 25th Enolitech, international exhibition of technologies for the production of wine, oil and beer, and Xcellent Beers, the exhibition dedicated to artisan brass production, making its “stand-alone” debut this year.

The inauguration. Reaffirming the importance of Vinitaly for the Italian wine system is the strong presence of institutions at the exhibition inaugural ceremony at 11.00 am in the Verdi auditorium of Palaexpo. The awards “Vinitaly 100 Years Award”, “Vinitaly International Italy Award”, “Vinitaly International Foreign Award” and the “Vinitaly Wine Critics Award” are also assigned during the inauguration.

Vinitaly USA. At 15.30, Vice-Premier Antonio Tajani visited the Vinitaly USA stand in the gallery between halls 6 and 7. On the occasion, the new Vinitaly international exhibition project is presented, debuting in Chicago on 20 and 21 October 2024. The initiative aims to offer Italian wine producers a direct channel for meeting buyers from the Midwest of the United States. The event, organised by Fiere Italiane has Vinitaly, the Italian American Chamber of Commerce Chicago-Midwest and ICE-Agenzia as partners.
