After his successful collaboration with Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch on the blockbuster film ‘The Eight Mountains’, the composer Daniel Norgren comes to Italy. A moving soundtrack for a film starring Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinelli.

Daniel Norgren’s music is a masterful blend of blues, folk and rock. He’ll be the first headliner of Rumors Festival, the festival dedicated to the voice and cultural avant-garde, directed by actress and singer Elisabetta Fadini. In its six previous editions, Rumors Festival has been honoured by the presence of national and international names: from Patti Smith to Tony Bennett, at the Teatro Romano for his first and only Italian appearance; from Rufus Wainwright to Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Anna Calvi, Ute Lemper and Vinicio Capossela.

Daniel Norgren, born in 1983, made his debut on the music scene at a very young age with Kerosene Dreams. This was followed by Outskirt and Horrifying Deatheating Bloodspider, for which Norgren was nominated for Swedish Singer and Composer of the Year. Other albums include Black Vultures, Alabursy, The Green Stone, a very personal record that evokes Norgren’s familiar images, and Wooh Dang.

Daniel Norgren is one of the missing pieces of American folk-rock music, perhaps because he is not American but Swedish, although ‘Wooh Dang’ is the perfect example of an album inspired by the poetic liturgy of Bob Dylan, the muted anger of Neil Young and the nostalgic rock-blues of the Black Keys” Wave Rock Magazine

Tickets for the concert are available from Ticketone and the usual advance ticket outlets.
