Under the basket, to live fully the values of sport, but also to grow and be together in a mosaic of cultures. This is the founding spirit of the Unika Basket club, which yesterday presented at the Gran Guardia Palace (Piazza Bra) the 160 athletes of the only sport club in Verona dedicated exclusively to women’s basketball. Unika Basket recruits athletes aged 6 and over from 20 countries.

The event was attended by the youngest players of the mini-basketball team, the youth section and the members of the senior team (participating in the Promozione championship, the Trentino-Alto Adige group and the province of Verona). Special guest of the presentation was Cristina Osazuwa, Verona’s 2005 basketball player, who made her debut in the A1 series at the Unika gym and was called up to the national team for the U18 European Championships in June. The evening was also an opportunity to present the new kit for the new season.

The evening was also attended by Tracy Eboigbodin, a chef and winner of the 11th edition of the TV talent show MasterChef Italy, who is very close to Unika’s values.
